Dear Readers,
If you didn't already know, i'm moving to India. Yes, you heard (or rather, read) me right. India. Not Indiana, but India. Other side of the world India. Slumdog Millionaire, Bollywood, Curry, Henna, Elephants, India. It's pretty exciting in my opinion. Especially considering that i hope to travel the world one day. I'm just starting a little early...
To give you a little bit more information on the where, when and why that i'm sure you're asking, i'll fill you in on the basics. My parents went over for a week to pick out a school, and a house, and all that good stuff. The school that they picked out is a school called CIS. The Canadian International School.
It isn't a Canadian school necessarily, it's just approved by the Ministry of Education, Ontario, Ca
nada and the International Baccalaureate Organizaton, Geneva Switzerland. So i will be doing
a two year program and graduate with an IB diploma. CIS' description of the IB program says this-
"The IB Diploma programme is a rigorous pre-university course of studies, leading to examinations, that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary school students between the ages of 16 and 19 years. Designed as a comprehensive two-year curriculum that allows its graduates to fulfill requirements of various national education systems, the diploma model is based in the pattern of no single country but incorporates the best elements of several." (IBO - The Diploma Programme, Geneva, IBO, 1997 p.2). "
Which sounds a little scary, but from what i've learned about it it sounds really nice. I'll take the required classes, and then pick a class to focus on, such as science. So i will take 2 science classes instead of one, for example. Which is perfect actually, considering i want to be a Vet. (: it'll definitely be a lot
harder, but then again, anywhere i go to school outside of the U.S. would be a lot harder (no offence America, but your education is kind of slacking compared to the rest of the world..) so it'll be quite an adventure.
The other thing my parents looked at while they were in India is housing. Housing in India is not like here in America where you could find any size house you so please. Houses are either really small, or really big. And thankfully Target is paying for it, which is really nice! They looked at lots and lots of house
s and came down to three top choices. Our first pick was an amazing house with a pool in the back, and a garden on the roof. But i guess it was a little sketchy..cause Target said no. So we went with our second choi
ce which is a beautiful Victorian style house. And might i say i am absolutely in love with it (:

OH.MY.GOSH. I can't believe how soon you guys are leaving. :( We are going to miss you like CrAzY!
